Kōbe, Japan Summer Program at Kōnan University

The intensive summer Japanese language program in Kōbe, Japan was established in 1997 and focuses on Japanese language study at the INTERMEDIATE LEVEL ONLY. Students complete their second-year foreign language requirement and have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese language and culture.

A completed UHM Study Abroad Center summer application, $30 application fee, and two letters of recommendation must be received by the Study Abroad Center by February 15, 2013 in order to receive consideration.  Non-UHM students must also submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

Immediately upon acceptance to the program, students are required to pay an initial payment that is non-refundable of $500.00 to ensure a place in the program. This initial payment will be applied toward the cost of the program.
