Hainan, China Summer ProgramThe Study Abroad program in Hainan, China is hosted by the College of Liberal Arts at Hainan University, and the focus of study is Mandarin language and culture. Students earn six UHM Chinese language credits for coursework completed in Hainan. The Program dates for summer 2010 are May 22 to July 25. The UHM Faculty Resident Director for Summer 2010 is Tao-Chung Yao from East Asian Languages and Literature. Prospective students should inquire about the FLAS scholarship. A completed UHM Study Abroad Center summer application, $20 application fee, and two letters of recommendation must be received by the Study Abroad Center by February 17 in order to receive consideration. Non-UHM students must also submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. . |
