Kobe, the seventh largest city in Japan with a population of 1.5 million, is a picturesque port city that lies just northwest of Ôsaka. The campus of Kônan University is 20 minutes by train from downtown Kobe, 30 minutes by train from downtown Ôsaka, and an hour from Kyoto. The campus is in close proximity of the mountains and the beach.
