Denmark's
International Study Program (DIS) is located
in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Founded more than 800 years
ago, Copenhagen combines the excitement of a modern
metropolis with the old-world charm of its medieval
origins. Today the largest city of Scandinavia, Copenhagen
has more than 1.5 million inhabitants and is the center
of Denmark's political, economic and cultural life.
Copenhagen is a fun, clean, and safe city with many
interesting buildings and parks. The Danes are friendly,
informal, and quite proud of their strong democratic
heritage and high standard of living. Copenhagen is
less than an hour away from Sweden by train
and is an overnight train ride away from many European
cities.
