
Denmark's
International Study Program (DIS) is a specialized
instiution of higher education affiliated with the
University of Copenhagen and financially supported
and approved by the Danish Ministry of Education.
DIS was founded in 1959 with the purpose of providing
American undergraduate students with a liberal arts
junior year abroad program. The courses are taught
in English by Danish professors who are well known
experts and professionals from the University of Copenhagen,
the Copenhagen Business School, or the Royal Academy
of Arts, School of Architecture; or are professional
experts employed in the central government, industry,
or research institutions.
